Presentation guidelines
Time Allocations
All presentations have been allocated 20 minutes per paper, comprising 15 minutes for the talk (presentation of the problem, the background, the innovative approach, the new results and the comparative evaluation) and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
Meeting with Session Chairs
All presenters should bring their presentation on CD/memory stick to the respective presentation room and meet with session/workshop chairs 10 minutes before the start of their session/workshop. The format of the presentation must be Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT file) or Portable Document Format (PDF file). The organizers strongly advise the authors to NOT USE PERSONAL LAPTOPS for presentations due to possible compatibility issues and time constraints.
Equipment
The standard equipment will be available in each of the presentation rooms:
- Projector screen
- Data projector
- PC with screen resolution 1024x768, that has an USB port
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2003
- Adobe Acrobat Reader v. 7 or newer
- Laser pointer
Poster presentations
Posters present a valuable approach in presenting your research and meeting with other conference attendees, exchanging ideas and enabling technical discussions. Therefore each author should devote proper attention to his/her poster preparation.
When preparing the poster please note that it shouldn't exceed 90cm x 150cm (wide x length).
A few good advices on how to prepare interesting poster:
- the title of the poster should appear at the top in large (CAPITAL) letters
- use mixture of text, pictures, diagrams, figures rather than just a plain text
- the smallest text should be at least 10 mm high
- in case you think you might need certain materials to repair the poster bring them
with you
- overall design of poster layout should allow a brief overview of your work
- make the poster as self-explanatory as possible. This will save you more time for
questions and discussions
Push pins or tape will be provided onsite to attach your posters to the boards.
The boards will be available to post your posters from 8.00h (Tuesday, 24.11.) in the Registration lounge. All posters have to be displayed before the Poster session starts at 17.35h. Please note that organizers will remove the posters before the next day sessions and store them at the registration desk.
